Maybe the night
Jehad Jarbou, Moayed Abu Ammouna
Perhaps you already know that this photopoetry book has an older sibling. Perhaps you have it at home and have read it. If you have, then you may already know that Jehad and Moayed have a style like no other. Perhaps you have grown to love Jehad and Moayed, and perhaps you have already asked me how they are doing in this long, dark night imposed on Gaza. Maybe this has been one of the reasons this little sibling-book was born. To answer that question. To search for cracks in the threatening wall that keeps us apart. We never wanted to be kept apart. And perhaps this is our small mockery of fate. For once, it is not the other way around.
The sale of this book has given the authors in gz the possibility to have a stable way of living from their work as artists. If everyone would gift this book to one person, one day in the future we would all have read this book.
